{SCIENCE PARTY}
FAVORS & DECORATIONS & COSTUMES
patton's SCIENCE PARTY
was so much fun!
because we were on a budget for the
SPACESHIPS AND LASERBEAMS
BOY BASH CHALLENGE
we had to be creative
{which just happens to me my specialty}
****************************************************
FAVORS
the favor bags were pretty simple to make.
i cut a piece of paper to look like a lab pocket and
drew the lines on & attached them with double sided tape
each kid got an "experiement" to do at home
{aka those $1 "grow and animal" sponge packets}
and nerds... come on thats funny :)
and a chocolate brain pop.
AND of course they got to keep their costumes
getting ready to go out and get the kids!!
i love the look on her face!!
totally worth looking like a dork.
the kids LOVED IT!

GLASSES
they were actually modified sunglasses.
i got a pack of 6 in the walmart party favor section
pushed out the shades
& cut off the corners which had silly decals on them

and added a little masking tape for fun
didn't they turn out cute & nerdy?!
LAB COATS
the lab coats were actually just
L youth fruit of the loom t-shirts
we cut them up the middle.
NO SEW! {that's how i like it. cause i can't sew!}
BOW TIE / HAIR BOW
i followed this tutorial online
and attached clips horizontal for the girls hairbows
& vertical for the boys bow ties
NAMETAGS
these were printables by spaceships and laserbeams
you can find them here
*******
and of course there was
my "mad scientist" costume!
who just has this costume lying around?
a wierdo thats who.
we waited for everyone to get there and
then i snuck away to put on my costume.
then i snuck away to put on my costume.
i ran out {and probably scared them...}
and then we all went back inside to put on our costumes
to get ready for experiments!
{experiement detailed post coming soon}

DECORATIONS
LARGE SCALE ATOM
{DIY link coming soon}
made from a hula-hoop!!
PRINTABLES
all of the printables were by the talented
SPACESHIPS AND LASERBEAMS
and can be found
in thier STORE HERE
SANITIZING STAION
this part was SO much fun!
i highly suggest this for your party!
when the kids came in i had them go through a "decontaminating" process!
they had to wash thier hands,
sign the "laboratory waiver"
eat an "antibiotic"
and then pass through the "sanitizing shield"
into the secure party area!

EXPERIEMNT STATION
i saw the tri-fold posterboard and it totally reminded me of a science fair!
so i added all the experiments that we were doing at the party.
i set up the experiment station on a rolling island so that we could
move it away from the wall when it was time for them.
i will be posting about all the experiments very soon!!
BEAKERS & SCIENCE BOOKS
even though they were just for looks, i loved the beakers and science books!
the beakers were actually just large beverage serving pitchers
from homegoods filled with colored water
the science books were from my massive collection in my garage from
when i was a science teacher... if you don't have these you
could cover large books with butcher paper and just write on them!
