{SUPERBOWL} the best dip EVER.

{SUPERBOWL}
the
BEST.
DIP.
EVER.

i am from MD - so i have to root for the ravens.
but i live in the bay area - so i have to root for the 49ers.
maybe i'll just root for the commercials and eat lots of dip.
that's pretty much what i do most years anyways....
 and what dip you ask?
well only the most famous, best ever,
eat-til-you-cant- eat-anymore dip.
i get asked to make it every year.
it actually came from a friend a long time ago... i'm not sure if she reads my blog...
but if she does - thanks lana. your dip is my fav.

i didn't say it was the prettiest dip....just the best.
its creamy, cheesy, beany and spicy!

SUPERBOWL DIP
3/4 lb ground beef
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 can refried beans
1 cup salsa
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup sour cream
3 oz cream cheese

brown the ground beef in a large skillet and drain excess fat.
add the remainder of the ingredients on the stove over low heat.
stir until combined and heated through.
place dip in a crock pot on low to keep it warm through the game and serve with tortilla chips!

i always serve classic game day platters - veggies & dip and cheese & crackers.
i'm still in search of the best veggie dip.
right now i do the ole' mix a thing of sour cream and a lipton onion packet.
its good. but i'm searching for the right upgrade...
any suggestions???
what is your favorite dip?
what are you serving at your superbowl party?

happy entertaining

  1. It's probably too late for a SuperBowl recipe, but we LOVE the Knorr's Vegetable dip...flip over the packet and follow the spinach dip recipe. Oooooooooooooooohhhhh...it's so good! Even my picky nephew LOVES it!

    : )
