{ADVENT}
countdown to christmas
tree
remember our "thankful" tree? did you make one?
well i ran out of time this year for creating
a spectacular advent calendar
{note to self: put on my to-do list for next year}
so i decided to convert my
thankful tree
into a
advent tree
this is what it will look like the day before christmas
this is what it looks like today...
each day we will take an ornament out and put it on the tree.
i have considered doing this backwards
any suggestions?
why do i love these ornaments so much?!
aren't they cute? {thants target}
happy entertaining
Sooo pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of adding one each day, then you have a full tree on christmas morning. My hubs insists on an advent calendar, and now I only have 12 hours to make one, this is a great quick idea! thank you!

I like the idea of adding an ornament. Much more fun to have a full tree on Christmas Day, plus the kids can count the ornaments in the bowl to know how many days are left.
ReplyDeleteReally cute!

Love this idea! We also had a Thankful tree and my 4 year old was sad to see it come down. Next year....
ReplyDeleteAs for planning for next year's amazing advent calendar: good luck! I literally had written on my calendar on September 1st ADVENT CALENDER. Guess what I was pulling together on the night of November 30th!?! ha! There's always next year :)

ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful idea!! I am at work and my office has woods behind it. One of my male co-workers went into the woods and collected all sorts of tree branches. They are in the back of my car. I really wish I had time to make a lovely creation like yours before hubby gets home...However, he usually beats me home. Well, I will just explain about all of the limbs and branches....my creative side coming out :)
ReplyDeleteWOW ... So in love with this lovely tree! Thanks for sharing :)
