these macarons are perfect for st. patricks day!

i love how they turned out.

these are really simple to make! here's how....

          

          BUT before you start:

          if you are new to macarons you may want to start with my DIY guide.

          then pick a recipe - my favorite recipes online are here, here, and here 

          my favorite macaron book is here ....  i wrote it :) 

              you will need:

             - macaron shells colored yellow 

             - vanilla bean buttercream (or filling of your choice) 

             - food paint brush & water

             - metalic gold luster dust 

      

        to make them:

        - pair similar size macarons and fill with filling of your choice 

        - chill in the refigerator for about 30 min. 

          (not a necessary step, but it makes them easier to handle) 

        - dampen your food paint brush in water and dip into the luster dust

        - "paint" the dust all over the macaron shell until you have the desired shine!
